Job summary

Capital Health in Princeton Junction, NJ is seeking a Med Assistant II to support occupational health services. You will prepare patients for examinations, take vitals, perform ECGs and injections, and maintain clean exam rooms.

The role requires completing a post-secondary medical assisting program and current certification; BLS is required. Clinical and clerical duties include patient registration, charting in EMR, and coordinating with front office to ensure a smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with 330 clock hours minimum.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and takes vitals including blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
• Cleans exam rooms and collects lab specimens; assists physicians and staff.
• Performs ECGs and point-of-care testing; processes patient information in EMR.
• Handles front office duties: registration, scheduling, charting, discharge paperwork, and referrals.
• Performs injections (IM/SC) and maintains supplies; cross-trained as Patient Reception Rep.
