Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical teams across our hospitals and outpatient centers in New Jersey. You will perform basic patient prep, room setup, vital signs, and assist with injections and specimen collection to streamline visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with 330 clock hours, including injections.
• Current certification from a recognized medical assisting certifying body.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination by taking vital signs and preparing exam rooms.
• Cleans exam rooms, collects lab specimens, and assists physicians.
• Performs clerical duties: patient registration, scheduling, and charting.
• Performs electrocardiograms and point-of-care tests per policy.
• Documents medical information in EMR and coordinates with front office.

Education

AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT certification

Accredited Medical Assisting program (330 clock hours)
