Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to prepare patients for examinations, perform routine tests, and support clinical and clerical tasks across our facilities in New Jersey. The role requires completing a post-secondary medical assisting program and current AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT certification, or registration, with AHA BLS on file.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting program accredited by NHA/CAHEA/ABHES or equivalent.
• Must maintain current certification (AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT) or registration.
• AHA BLS required; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination by taking vital signs and documenting history.
• Cleans exam rooms, collects lab specimens, and verifies specimen orders.
• Assists physicians and staff and maintains supplies.
• Performs clerical duties including patient registration, scheduling, and medical records filing.
• Performs ECGs and point-of-care testing per policy.
