Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks an Obstetrics Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support in Spruce Pine, NC. Start date ASAP with a clinic-based schedule Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm and Friday 7:30am–noon, plus 24-hour call. Procedures include D&C, laparoscopy, C-sections, circumcisions, and tubal ligations.

Credentialing typically completes in about 30 days; EMR is EPIC/Dragon. The candidate must be board certified with an active state license or IMLC and hold BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS are required.
• Board certification and active license (or IMLC) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetrics hospitalist coverage in a clinical setting with 24-hour call.
• Clinic schedule: Mon–Thu 7:30 am–4:30 pm, Fri 7:30 am–12:00 pm.
• Perform obstetric procedures listed (D&C, C-sections, circumcisions, tubal ligations).
• Credentialing timeframe about 30 days, EPIC/Dragon EMR usage.

This facility is seeking an Obstetrics Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Clinic: Monday- Thursday 730am-430pm, Friday 730am-noon, 24-hr call
• Practice Setting: In clinic and 24 hr call
• Types of Cases: Suction dilation and curettage (D&C), Laparoscopy, Read Obstetrical non-stress test (NST), Caesareans, Circumcisions, Tubal Ligations
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC/Dragon
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
• Board certified and active state license or interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) required
