Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Obstetrics Hospitalist Physician for ASAP start in Michigan. The role combines clinic work with 24-hour on-call coverage and features a demanding schedule: 7:30am–4:30pm Monday-Thursday, 7:30am–noon Friday, plus 24-hour call.

Caseload includes D&C, laparoscopy, NSTs, Caesareans, circumcisions, and tubal ligations. The position requires board certification, an active medical license (or IMLC), and BLS/ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN with active license (or IMLC).
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Experience as an obstetrics hospitalist or in a similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetrics hospitalist coverage in clinic and 24-hour on-call.
• Perform obstetric procedures as required (D&C, C-section, circumcision, tubal ligation).
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams to ensure patient safety.

• Schedule: Clinic: Monday- Thursday 730am-430pm, Friday 730am-noon, 24-hr call
• Practice Setting: In clinic and 24 hr call
• Types of Cases: Suction dilation and curettage (D&C), Laparoscopy, Read Obstetrical non-stress test (NST), Caesareans, Circumcisions, Tubal Ligations
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC/Dragon
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
• Board certified and active state license or interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) required
