Job summary

Together Women’s Health’s Advanced Gynecology practice seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to join their growing medical team. The MA will support clinical workflows, maintain patient comfort, and ensure accurate charting and friendly interactions.

The ideal candidate has medical office experience, EMR proficiency (Athena), and a preference for CCMA certification or an OB-GYN background. Bachelor’s degree is a plus, and 1+ years in a medical office is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
• 1+ years in a medical office
• Experience with EMR (Athena) system(s) and medical terminology is required
• Previous experience at an OB/GYN office (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient health history and accurately enter into EMR.
• Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals.
• Set up additional diagnostic and/or treatment equipment.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Complete all documentation pertaining to patient’s medical record, test requests, medications and patient education with accuracy and timeliness.
• May perform Scribe duties.
• Assist the physician as directed.
• Must work well in a team environment.
