Job summary

Together Women’s Health, LLC is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The MA will obtain patient health histories, enter data into the EMR, prepare exam rooms, take vitals, and assist with injections and phlebotomy to support the physician and ensure a warm, professional patient experience.

The ideal candidate has medical office experience with EMR and medical terminology; CCMA certification and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 1+ years in a medical office.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is required.
• Previous experience at an OB/GYN office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's health history and accurately enter into Electronic Medical Record.
• Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals.
• Set up diagnostic and/or treatment equipment as needed.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Complete all documentation pertaining to patient’s medical record, test requests, medications and education.
• May perform Scribe duties.
• Assist the physician as directed.
• Must work well in a team environment.
