Job summary

Together Women’s Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for Mission Obstetrics & Gynecology, a partner practice. The MA will support patient care with a warm, professional approach and assist the physician as directed.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient health histories, preparing exam rooms, taking vitals, administering injections and phlebotomy, and documenting medical records with accuracy. Prior experience in a medical office and EMR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years in a medical office.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology required.
• Previous OB/GYN office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's health history and accurately enter into EMR.
• Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals.
• Set up diagnostic and/or treatment equipment as needed.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Complete all documentation pertaining to patient’s medical record, test requests, medications and patient education with accuracy and timeliness.
• May perform scribe duties.
• Assist the physician as directed.
• Must work well in a team environment.
