Job summary

Together Women’s Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support Women First OBGYN, a partner practice. The MA will assist with patient intake, room setup, vitals, injections and phlebotomy, and maintain accurate EMR documentation.

Ideal candidates have MA certification (CCMA preferred), a Bachelor’s degree preferred, and at least 1 year in a medical office; OBGYN experience is a plus. A collaborative team environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting and/or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• CCMA certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years in a medical office.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is required.
• Previous experience at an OBGYN office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's health history and accurately enter into Electronic Medical Record
• Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness
• Perform any preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals
• Set up any additional diagnostic and/or treatment equipment
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed
• Complete all documentation pertaining to patient's medical record, test requests, medications and patient education with accuracy and timeliness
• May perform Scribe duties
• Assist the physician as directed
• Must work well in a team environment
