Job summary

Together Women's Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for their OBGYN South practice partner. The MA will support Dr. Childs and Nurse Practitioners, handling patient intake, room setup, vitals, injections, phlebotomy, and documentation with accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have medical office experience, EMR familiarity, and CCMA certification preferred. OB-GYN background is a plus; a collaborative team environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• CCMA certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years in a medical office.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is required.
• Previous OB-GYN office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient health histories and enter into EMR accurately.
• Set up and prepare exam rooms for patient visits and ensure cleanliness.
• Perform preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals.
• Set up diagnostic and treatment equipment as needed.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Complete all documentation pertaining to medical records, test requests, medications and education with accuracy and timeliness.
• May perform scribe duties.
• Assist the physician as directed.
• Must work well in a team environment.
