Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care to enhance outcomes.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking histories and vitals, assisting with exams, and administering medications as directed. EMT/Paramedic credentials or MA certifications are valued, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited MA program and externship, internship or equivalent.
• MA-Non-Credentialed I: CMA, RMA or NCMA credentials preferred; EMT/Paramedic licensure acceptable.
• CPR certification current.
• 0–1 year of clinical experience preferred; otherwise 2+ years of clinical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers; support quality improvement and disease management programs.
