Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience each day.

The role involves welcoming patients, collecting histories and vitals, assisting with exams, administering medications, and coordinating care. A high school diploma and MA training are required or in-progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an MA program and externship is preferred.
• MA internship or EMT/Paramedic training is considered favorably.
• Credentialed MA licensure pathways are listed; active licensure is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
