Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience daily.

The role involves welcoming patients, taking histories and vital signs, assisting with exams, medications, and testing, and coordinating care with the care team. High school diploma and MA program completion are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of an accredited MA program and externship/internship or related EMT/Paramedic program.
• MA certification or eligibility preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC).

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and assist with diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers; support care coordination.
