Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant for a part-time day shift to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care.

You will welcome patients, document histories and vitals, assist with exams, tests, and procedures, and help educate patients and families. Opportunities exist to contribute to care coordination and quality improvement initiatives within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of an accredited MA program and externship/internship is preferred.
• EMT, Paramedic, or Athletic Trainer credentials are acceptable; CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and testing.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education for better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers; support care coordination.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Completed MA program and MA externship/internship

EMT/Paramedic/Certified Athletic Trainer credential
