Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license must be active in Iowa.
• BSN preferred; if no BSN, enrollment required within 1 year.
• BLS/CPR required or within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Pans, directs, and evaluates overall nursing care in the unit.
• Coordinates unit activities and assigns work to staff.
• Educates nursing staff on patient care best practices.
• Acts as charge nurse and staff nurse when needed.
• Assumes nursing department responsibility in the absence of the Director.
