UP Health System - Portage is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Coordinator for the OB unit. The role focuses on coordinating OB patient care, supporting staff, and ensuring high-quality clinical standards.

The position requires Michigan RN licensure, an acute care background in OB, and leadership experience. Evening shifts with no weekends or holidays, full-time 80 hours per pay period, and opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license
• Associate's degree in nursing (BSN preferred)
• BLS-HCP certification
• NRP certification
• Two years of acute care experience
• OB experience
• Leadership experience preferred
• EFM and STABLE within 6 months; PEOP within 1 year

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care of the OB patient using nursing process.
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting clinical services delivery.
• Performs PI studies and assists with PI initiatives.
• Serves as a resource to staff on patient care, flow, and standards.
• Monitors compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission.
• Coordinates staff scheduling, education, and evaluations.
• Provides and coordinates patient education for Labor and Delivery.
• Performs other duties as assigned
