Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide for the Labor and Delivery department at Advocate Christ Medical Center. This night shift position involves rotating weekends and holidays, with 36 hours per week and full-time status.

Requires nursing assistant training and BLS certification within 6 months. Responsibilities include assisting with obstetrical procedures, preparing the sterile field, and supporting patient care.

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required within 6 months.
• Advanced training beyond high school including an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with obstetrical procedures and ensure sterile technique.
• Scrub for obstetrical procedures and pass instruments.
• Assist delivery procedures and prepare area per provider preference.
• Support patient daily living needs and safety.
• Train technicians and RN staff in equipment and procedures.
• Maintain sterile supplies and readiness for emergencies.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with OR staff and educators for equipment/procedure prep.
