Job summary
Advocate Health Care's Labor and Delivery unit seeks a Nurse Aide to assist obstetric procedures, prepare sterile fields, and support patient care 36 hours per week with night shifts and rotating weekends/holidays. Requires Basic life support and nursing assistant certification; no experience required. Strong communication and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications
- Advanced training beyond High School in Nursing Assistant program.
- Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers certified or obtain within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Assist with obstetrical procedures and deliveries and prepare sterile fields.
- Gown, glove, drape and pass instruments; maintain equipment and supplies.
- Support direct patient care activities and safety needs.
- Train technicians and RN staff on equipment use and procedures.
- Maintain stock of sterile supplies and readiness for emergencies.
- Document patient information accurately and timely.
