Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse Aide to join the team at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. This full-time position (0.9 FTE) offers 7a-7p shifts across three 12-hour days, with holiday and weekend track requirements.

A BS or equivalent is not required; certification and on-the-job training are provided. Responsibilities include assisting with obstetric procedures, preparing sterile fields, delivering patient care, and coordinating with OR staff.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including keyboarding and navigating Windows-based systems.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with obstetrical procedures and deliveries.
• Maintains setups for each procedure.
• Scrubs for obstetric procedures and prepares sterile field.
• Assists with delivery procedures and patient care activities.
• Serves as a training resource for technicians and RN staff.
• Maintains stock of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Reports patient information accurately and timely.
• Collaborates with OR staff and educators for equipment and procedures.
