Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Illinois is seeking a Nurse Aide for Obstetrics/Gynecology with a 36-hour work week. The role requires night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, rotating every 3rd weekend and holidays, and on-call duties every 3 weeks. Orientation on day shift is required for 40 hours per week.

Qualifying candidates must hold Nurse Aide licensure in good standing and BLS certification (within 6 months unless exempt). Advanced Nursing Assistant education is required.

Qualifications

• Licensure, registration, and/or certification as a Nurse Aide in good standing.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification to be obtained within 6 months unless exempt by leadership.
• Advanced training beyond high school including an accredited Nursing Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with obstetrical procedures and deliveries.
• Scrub for obstetrical procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Prepare areas per provider preferences and patient care plans.
• Assist in direct patient care activities and comfort needs.
• Serve as a training resource for technicians and RN staff.
• Maintain sterile supplies and readiness for emergencies.
