Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support obstetrical operations in the Labor and Delivery OR. The role involves preparing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting the surgeon under RN supervision.

Requirements include a Surgical Technologist training program graduate or equivalent OR experience; 3 years of direct patient care experience is also accepted. BCLS is required upon hire; NRP preferred.

He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Work Experience

• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program Required or
• 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist Required or
• 3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred
