Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Surgical Birth scrub assistant to join the team in Massachusetts. You will support the surgical delivery team, maintain aseptic technique, and help prepare rooms and equipment for C/S cases.

The role covers Labor & Delivery support, patient logs, and interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth care delivery. This position requires High School graduate, OR technique training, and Basic Cardiac Support Certification; MAH Safety training is also expected.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of birthplace operating room techniques.
• Basic Cardiac Support Certification.
• Complete MAH Annual Safety Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during C/S deliveries; maintain aseptic technique.
• Prepare C/S room and gather equipment, sutures, gloves, and supplies.
• Assist with Labor & Delivery deliveries and setup of equipment.
• Maintain birth/admission logs and coordinate patient communication with nursing staff.
• Act as liaison between L&D and support services and ensure proper sterile technique.
