Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Perinatal Surgical Technologist to assist with patient care in the labor and delivery unit, performing scrub duties and maintaining aseptic standards under RN supervision. The role involves stocking, equipment maintenance, and active participation in a multi-skilled care team focused on maternal-neonatal services.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program and CST/NBSTSA certification; CNA or equivalent multi-skilled

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Previous surgery experience preferred.
• CNA or equivalent multi-skilled training is preferred (CNA, EKG, Phlebotomy, simple respiratory and rehabilitative functions).

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, perform basic operating room skills and maintain aseptic practices.
• Scrub technician duties and efficient handling of delivery table and case cart.
• Prepare delivery and operating rooms early after use; stock linen and supplies.
• Maintain patient safety and assess equipment function in labor and delivery areas.
• Report urgent data and assist in emergencies and with other team members as needed.
• Adhere to policies of Patient Care Services and Maternal Newborn Services.
