Job summary

University Hospital is seeking an OB Scrub Technician to provide direct obstetrical and neonatal patient care under the supervision of a licensed RN. The position involves surgical scrubbing for obstetric procedures, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring supplies and equipment are stocked in Labor and Delivery, Recovery, and OR areas.

The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program with CST certification and AHA CPR.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technician Program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
• AHA CPR certification required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Neat, clean, professional appearance required.
• Attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to obstetrical/neonatal patients under RN supervision.
• Serve as surgical scrub for obstetric procedures and maintain aseptic environment.
• Maintain and stock supplies/equipment in Labor and Delivery Suite, Recovery and OR.
• Assist with perioperative care per policy and procedure.
• Assist with deliveries as necessary.
• Support other unit operations as assigned.
