Job summary

Jersey College seeks a Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction for LPN/PN and RN students across various campus sites. The role involves supervising clinical activities, evaluating progress, and guiding learners toward professional nursing practice and competency.

Ideal candidates hold an MSN or higher and a current RN license, with at least three years of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Experience with teaching or nursing education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver instruction suited to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence according to program standards.
