Job summary

Jersey College is seeking a Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students.

The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with a BSN or higher, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. The role includes evaluating student progress and collaborating with campus partners to support student success.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Preferred: nursing education experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction for LPN/PN and RN nursing students.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment; evaluate student performance and competency.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program standards and policies.
• Prepare accurate progress and grade reports; maintain attendance records.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and clinical partners.
