Job summary

Jersey College in Scranton, PA is seeking a Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students. The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher and an active RN license with at least 3 years of RN experience.

The role requires excellent communication, mentoring abilities, and collaboration with faculty and clinical partners to evaluate student performance and ensure clinical competence and safety.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Experience with teaching LPN/PN and RN students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive learning environment and evaluate student performance and competency.
• Maintain timely student progress and grade reports; ensure attendance records are accurate.
