Job summary
Tap Healthcare Solutions in Hancock, MI is seeking an experienced OB Director (RN) to provide clinical and operational leadership for Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery services. This senior role requires hands-on L&D experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to lead and develop healthcare teams.
The ideal candidate will oversee daily obstetric nursing operations, collaborate with physicians, and drive quality improvement to ensure safe maternal and neonatal care in a community hospital
Qualifications
- ADN from an accredited nursing program
- Active Michigan RN license
- Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- NRP certification
- AWHONN-EFM certification or course
- AWHONN-POEP completion
- STABLE certification or course
- Strong understanding of obstetric nursing, maternal-fetal monitoring, neonatal care, and patient safety principles
- Ability to coordinate clinical operations and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily obstetric nursing operations and support Labor & Delivery staff
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care
- Lead and develop nursing teams and drive quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor patient safety and outcomes in obstetric services
