Job summary

The role focuses on ensuring patient-centered care, coordinating clinical workflows, and driving performance improvements within Labor and Delivery, with opportunities for ongoing education and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• BLS-HCP certification required.
• 4+ years in Labor and Delivery (preferred).
• 2+ years leadership experience in healthcare (preferred).
• Certifications: NRP, AWHONN-EFM, AWHONN-POEP, STABLE (current or within 1 year).
• Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee OB patient care using the nursing process.
• Identify and address issues affecting clinical service delivery.
• Conduct performance improvement studies and support related initiatives.
• Act as a resource for staff and external contacts regarding patient care, flow, and clinical standards.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation, legal, and healthcare standards.
• Manage staff scheduling, educational activities, and performance evaluations.
• Provide and coordinate educational needs for patients, specifically in Labor and Delivery.
