Job summary

Women's Care in Jacksonville is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to provide professional clerical support, schedule surgeries and related appointments, verify benefits, and coordinate referrals. You will interact with patients and providers, ensuring accurate data entry in the EMR system and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, two years of scheduling experience (OBGYN preferred), and strong communication skills to multi-task in a dynamic clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years surgery scheduling experience, preferably OBGYN.
• Prior experience verifying patient benefits.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in an effective manner.
• Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, preferably eCW.
• Medical Assistant triage experience a plus
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for surgery and follow up appointments.
• Verifies insurance benefits.
• Coordinates referrals related to pending surgeries.
• Schedules patients for Level 2 sonograms.
• Represents clinic in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
• Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
• Demonstrates and embodies the Women's Care mission and core values.
• Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
