Job summary

Women’s Care in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice of the practice. You will collect patient information, verify demographics, and ensure accurate scheduling and billing while delivering an extraordinary patient experience.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating profiles, handling payments, scanning insurance cards into the EMR, assisting with online registration, scheduling appointments, and supporting HIPAA-compliant operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a true desire to help others.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Customer-centric, warm, and professional demeanor.
• Verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to multi-task.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Collect demographics and update patient profiles for registration.
• Assist with billing questions and time-of-service collections as needed.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system (HIPAA compliant).
• Set up payment plans and explain financial policies.
• Answer high volume calls and respond to emails per policy.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and confirm next-day visits.
• Ensure proper checkout and update eCW records daily.
• Maintain tidy front lobby and support a positive patient experience.
