Job summary

Women’s Care in Fleming Island, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical support for patients during visits and procedures. You will prepare patients, assist providers, and maintain rooms and equipment while ensuring accurate charting and patient education.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with MA certification preferred or obtainable within 120 days. CPR/BLS certification is preferred, with experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care a plus, and HIPAA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. MA certification preferred or obtainable within 120 days.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or armed forces Medical Technician with honorable discharge.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Proficient in medical terminology and able to perform phlebotomy and injections if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatments and procedures.
• Restock and sterilize examination rooms, lab areas, and care spaces per policy.
• Record patient medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Educate patients with information and instructions from the provider.
• Relay messages between patients, front office, and providers; uphold HIPAA compliance.
• Represent the office professionally and participate in team activities.

Education

High school diploma or GED

MA certification eligible (Florida) or ability to obtain within 120 days

Graduate of nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR Armed Forces Medical Technician with honorable discharge

CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days

Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care

Medical terminology knowledge
