Job summary

Women’s Care in Florida seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support during patient visits, prep exam rooms, record histories, and assist providers with procedures. HIPAA compliance and strong patient communication are essential.

Required: high school diploma or GED; MA certification within 120 days (FL); CPR/BLS preferred; phlebotomy and injections as applicable. Experience in OB/GYN or primary care is a plus. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA certification within 120 days preferred in FL.
• Graduate of nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or served in Armed Forces as Medical Technician.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days of employment.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment/procedures.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms and lab areas.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
• Measure and document vital signs; perform phlebotomy, injections as directed.
• Educate patients and relay messages between patients and front office staff.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional patient interactions.
