Women's Care in Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical staff during patient visits. You will prepare patients, assist with examinations, and help maintain sterile rooms and medical equipment.

A focus on OB/GYN or primary care workflows will be welcomed, with opportunities to perform phlebotomy and injections as directed. The role requires strong organizational skills, reliable multitasking, and good communication with patients and providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMA certification preferred (FL) or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections, if applicable.
• Ability to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions.
• Strong communication with diverse patients, families, and staff.
• Good organizational skills and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer skills and EMR data entry in EMR systems (preferably eCW).
• Dependable, reliable and punctual.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms and lab areas.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance and chief complaint.
• Measure, record and document vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection as directed.
• Educate patients with information and instructions from providers.
• Maintain a safe, compliant work environment per policies and regulations.
• Sterilize medical instruments.
• Relay messages between patients and providers.
• Represent the office professionally to internal and external customers.
• Participate in team activities and professional development.
• Attend required meetings.
• Demonstrate Women's Care mission and core values.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
