Job summary

Women’s Care PC is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical care in a fast-paced OB/GYN/primary care setting. You will prepare patients, assist during procedures, record vitals and medical histories, and help maintain clean, compliant exam rooms and lab areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Florida MA certification within 120 days or equivalent training, and CPR/BLS certification if possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• (FL Only) MA certification preferred OR the ability to obtain the certification within the first 120 days of employment.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR served in the Armed Forces as a Medical Technician with honorable discharge.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred OR the ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of employment via Women’s Care training.
• Experience working in OBGYN or Primary Care a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections, if applicable.
• Ability to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions.
• Must communicate professionally with all staff and patients; strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in EMR data entry, preferably in eCW.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment, procedures, examinations, and testing.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all patient care areas.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
• Measure, record, and document vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and injections as directed.
• Educate patients with information and instructions from providers.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional conduct; ensure a safe workplace.
• Sterilize medical instruments according to standards.
• Relay messages from patients and front office staff to providers.
• Represent the office professionally; interact courteously with all parties.
• Participate in team activities and required meetings.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and core values.
• Other duties as assigned.
