Job summary

Women’s Care in Brandon, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical support during visits, prep patients, and assist providers.

You will restock and sterilize rooms, document medical history and vital signs, perform phlebotomy or injections as directed, and educate patients. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, MA certification (or be able to obtain within 120 days), CPR/BLS, and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• FL MA certification preferred or obtainable within 120 days.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or Armed Forces Medical Technician.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment and testing.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
• Measure, record, and document vital signs.
• Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional office conduct.
• Relay messages from patients and front office staff to providers.
