Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL, seeks an experienced CNC programmer to develop Siemens NX Cam programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines supporting engines spaceflight systems. Relocation is provided and shift A is available.

Candidates should have 15+ years hands-on manufacturing and 10+ years CNC programming with NX/UG or MasterCam, excellent GD&T reading, and experience with nickel-based alloys and aluminum. Relocation provided, apply today.

Qualifications

• 15+ years hands-on manufacturing experience
• 10+ years CNC programming with NX/UG or MasterCam
• Excellent blueprint reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994
• Tools/fixture design
• Set-up sheet creation
• Cutter selection and design
• Experience with nickel-based alloys and aluminum
• Fluent with precision hand tools and PCs

Responsibilities

• Develop machining strategies from design data to produced hardware
• Create manufacturing programs in Siemens NX Cam for Mills/Lathes/Multi-Axis machines
• Design fixtures and tools as needed
• Develop set-up sheets and document processes
• Coordinate with designers and machinists; provide manufacturability feedback
• Estimate machine time and make buy decisions when needed
• Maintain configuration control on files and job records
