Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an experienced CNC Machining Programmer to develop and produce machined hardware for spaceflight systems. You will program CAMs, operate CNC equipment, set up production runs, and resolve manufacturing issues while coordinating with designers and machinists.

Candidates should have 15+ years hands-on manufacturing, 10+ years CNC programming with NX/UG or MasterCam, and strong GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• 15+ years hands-on manufacturing experience.
• 10+ years in CNC programming with NX/UG or MasterCam.
• Excellent blueprint reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Design for manufacture experience and tool design.
• Nickel-based alloys and aluminum experience.
• Strong communication and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Develop machining strategy from design data to produce machined hardware.
• Develop Mills/Lathes/Multi-Axis machines and setups.
• Create setup sheets and tool/fixture designs as needed.
• Program CAMs, setup production runs, and troubleshoot errors.
• Communicate with designers and machinists; provide manufacturability feedback.
• Maintain configuration control on files and job records.
