Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL, seeks an experienced CNC programmer to develop and optimize manufacturing programs using Siemens NX Cam for Mills, Lathes, and multi-axis machines. You will design fixtures, set-up sheets, and tooling to support spaceflight hardware fabrication.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in manufacturing, 10+ years in CNC programming with NX/UG or MasterCam, and strong GD&T/blueprint skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
• 10+ years CNC programming with NX/UG or MasterCam.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
• Tools fixture design and set-up sheet creation.
• Determining initial feeds and speeds; cutter selection.

Responsibilities

• Develop machining strategy to take design data and produce machined hardware.
• Develop manufacturing programs in Siemens NX Cam for Mills/Lathes/Multi Axis machines.
• Create concept manufacturing plans and design tools/fixtures as needed.
• Develop set-up sheets and communicate with designers and machinists.
• Design for manufacture feedback and provide machine time estimates.
• Maintain configuration control on files and job records.
• Work safely within an industrial environment.
• Assist with process improvements and documentation.
