Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced NC Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Washington. You will create NC programs for 5-axis and multi-axis machines, develop machining strategies from design data, and manage setup sheets to ensure first article success on high-value aerospace components.

You will collaborate with engineers and machinists, design fixtures/tools, provide DFMA feedback, and drive process improvements while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. A U.S.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of NC programming experience.
• Excellent blueprint reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M.
• Experience with tools, fixtures design and set-up sheets.
• Knowledge of feed and speeds calculations and material experience (stainless steel, aluminum).
• Familiar with MasterCam and NX toolchains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create NC programs for CNC Mills/Lathes/Multi axis mills and lathes to meet requirements.
• Develop machining strategy from design data to produce hardware.
• Create and manage set-up sheets.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists.
• Design custom tools and fixtures as needed.
• Provide DFMA feedback and drive process improvements.
• Ensure product acceptance per policy and maintain file configuration.
