Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking an Application Engineer for the NX CAM product development team. You will bridge manufacturing challenges with our NX CAM capabilities, combining hands-on CNC programming with a passion for quality and customer success to drive innovation.

You’ll collaborate with customers and partners to validate workflows on machines, create customer-facing enablement materials, and help shape future NX CAM features.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC programming experience using NX CAM.
• Expert-level knowledge of G-code for controls such as Sinumerik, Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Okuma.
• Ability to program a part, put it on a machine, and cut or build it.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Significant hands-on machining experience, including requirements definition and validation of pre-release software on machines.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and events.

Responsibilities

• Define NX CAM capabilities informed by customer needs and machining workflows.
• Validate software using realistic manufacturing workflows and on-machine testing.
• Engage with customers and partners to evaluate software and gather feedback.
• Promote product quality through validation, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Create customer-facing enablement materials for NX CAM, including videos and tutorials.
• Research manufacturing workflows and benchmarking results to inform future improvements.
