Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking an Application Engineer to join the NX CAM product development team. You will bridge manufacturing challenges with our capabilities, combining CNC programming expertise with a passion for quality and customer success to drive innovation in NX CAM.

This role suits hands-on machinists who understand the full lifecycle of a machined part and thrive in collaborative, agile environments. Travel to customer sites and trade shows may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC programming experience using NX CAM.
• Expert-level knowledge of G-code across major controls.
• Ability to program, machine and validate a part.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Hands-on machining experience with pre-release software validation on machines.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic/international).

Responsibilities

• Define new NX CAM capabilities informed by customer needs and machining workflows.
• Validate software using realistic manufacturing workflows and on-machine testing.
• Engage with customers and partners to evaluate software and gather feedback.
• Promote product quality through validation and continuous improvement.
• Act as a liaison between customers, product management and development teams.
• Create customer-facing enablement materials for NX CAM and share insights across platforms.
• Research manufacturing workflows and benchmarks to inform future product improvements.
