Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking an Application Engineer to join our NX CAM product development team. You’ll bridge manufacturing challenges with our software capabilities, applying CNC programming expertise to validate features and workflows on real machines.

You’ll collaborate with customers, product management, and engineering to deliver high-quality, testable solutions and enablement materials while thriving in a lean‑agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC programming experience using NX CAM.
• Expert-level knowledge of G-code for controls such as Sinumerik, Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Okuma.
• Ability to program a part, put it on a machine, and cut or build it.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Significant hands-on machining experience, including requirements definition and validation of pre-release software on machines.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer and partner meetings, trade shows, and product team engagements, including domestic or international travel.

Responsibilities

• Define NX CAM capabilities guided by customer needs and market trends.
• Validate software using real manufacturing workflows and on-machine testing.
• Engage with customers and partners to evaluate software and gather feedback.
• Promote product quality through validation and timely feedback.
• Serve as a bridge between customers, product management, and development teams.
• Create customer-facing enablement materials and example content (videos, screen captures, test recordings).
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support feature readiness and ensure successful deployments.
• Research manufacturing workflows and competition to inform future improvements.
