Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking an Application Engineer to join the NX CAM product development team. You will bridge customer manufacturing challenges with our product capabilities, combining CNC programming expertise with a passion for quality and customer success in an agile environment.

The role involves defining NX CAM capabilities, validating software with realistic workflows, engaging with customers, and producing enablement materials for the broader manufacturing community.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC programming experience using NX CAM.
• Expert-level knowledge of G-code for controls such as Sinumerik, Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Okuma.
• Ability to program a part, put it on a machine, and cut or build it.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Significant hands-on machining experience, including requirements definition and validation of pre-release software on machines.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer and partner meetings, trade shows, and product team engagements, including domestic or international travel as permitted.

Responsibilities

• Define NX CAM capabilities based on customer needs and workflows.
• Validate software using real manufacturing workflows and on-machine testing.
• Engage with customers to evaluate software and gather feedback.
• Promote product quality through validation and continuous improvement.
• Act as a liaison between customers, product management, and development teams.
• Communicate clearly to align expectations and share insights.
• Share machining expertise to strengthen team knowledge and collaboration.
• Take ownership and drive progress in lean-agile development.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine requirements and create acceptance criteria for features.
• Create customer-facing enablement materials like videos, screen captures, and tips for the manufacturing community.
