Job summary

ECS4Kids is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide a warm, nurturing environment for children birth to 5 years old in a Florida center. You will support planned activities, reinforce positive behavior, and help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom.

Strong communication with families is essential. Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, with DCF 45-hour training and experience in child care preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; DCF 45-hour training and experience in a child care setting preferred
• Knowledge of child growth and development and developmentally appropriate practices for ages birth to 5 years

Responsibilities

• Become Primary Caregiver/Teacher when regular classroom teacher is absent
• Familiarize self with day’s planned activities
• Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate activities
• Provide a warm, nurturing environment
• Develop nurturing relationships with children and support social-emotional development
• Maintain records and communicate with families
