Job summary

McLaren Health Care seeks a part-time Nursing Unit Clerk to support efficient unit operations in the evening and overnight hours. You will maintain charts, records, and inventories, assist with orders, and help ensure accurate documentation across the unit.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), completion of a Clerk-Nursing course, and CPR certification. This position offers evening/night shifts and a healthcare environment with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of successful completion of a Clerk-Nursing course or comparable education/experience.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Completes work assignments during scheduled period.
• Maintains current inventory of unit supplies and equipment.
• Reorders supplies as needed for unit needs.
• Documents and reports problems with factual records.
• Maintains patient charts and admission/discharge records.
• Enters orders into computer system accurately.
• Uses computer system per guidelines and attends training.
• Assists with distribution and posting of reports and forms.
• Identifies and reports hardware/software problems.
• Adheres to emergency and disaster procedures.
• Demonstrates competency with equipment and skills.
• Supports safe unit environment and Bay Pride behaviors.
