Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks a Unit Clerk/Nurse Aide for the 2 North Intensive Care Unit. You will perform receptionist and secretarial duties on the unit and support nursing staff by providing patient care to meet safety and comfort needs.

This is a full-time night-shift position with scheduled 72 hours bi-weekly. Responsibilities include hourly rounding, answering calls, assisting with beds, baths, feeding, vital signs, and routine tasks under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Nurse Aide training or 6 months experience as Nursing Assistant.
• BLS Certification.
• Knowledge of keyboard/computer.
• Medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs purposeful hourly rounding including: Pain, Position, Personal needs, and Possessions
• Answers telephone/call lights and relays information to staff
• Assists nursing staff with patient care: beds, baths, feeding, vital signs, glucose, mobilization
