Job summary

Wheaton College in Massachusetts seeks a part-time Nursing Tutor to coach and mentor students toward successful nursing education. You will meet with individuals and groups to clarify and review classroom and clinical concepts, supporting learning and progression.

The role requires RN experience, strong written communication, teamwork, and reliable organizational skills. It offers 8–10 hours per week during the academic year with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Nursing with three or more years experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical and/or educational setting.
  • Tutoring or teaching experience with excellent written communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of students.
  • The ability to effectively assist and assess student learning.
  • Willingness to work as a team member with staff, faculty, and students.
  • Excellent organizational skills, professional conduct, and reliability.

Responsibilities

Compensation and Benefits

To attract and retain the most talented individuals, Wheaton College maintains a flexible and competitive staff compensation and benefits program.
When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.
The starting hourly rate for this position is $30/hr.
