Wheaton College is seeking to hire an Assistant or Associate Deanof Nursing. The Assistant/Associate Dean of Nursing is a full timeadministrative and academic leader who works closely with the Deanof Nursing to guide the direction, growth, and daily operations ofWheaton College’s Nursing Program. This role provides bothstrategic vision and operational oversight, ensuring excellence incurriculum development, faculty mentorship, accreditationcompliance, clinical partnerships, and resource management. Achampion of innovation and student-centered learning, the AssociateDean fosters the integration of experiential learning,high-fidelity simulation, and diverse clinical practice into thecurriculum.
The Assistant/Associate Dean supports and mentors nursing faculty,supports the liberal arts mission of the College, and plays apivotal role in program evaluation and continuous improvement. Theposition focuses on program expansion through the development ofnew degree pathways while cultivating strong partnerships withhealthcare systems, community organizations, and workforcedevelopment stakeholders. Through visionary leadership andeffective administration, the Associate Dean ensures that theNursing Program is not only well managed daily but also positionedfor long-term innovation and national recognition, preparinggraduates to thrive as compassionate, practice-ready nurses in anevolving healthcare environment.

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitmentranges for a position, the College considers a number of factorsincluding the budget for the position, the range of the grade, theexternal market for the position or similar positions, level andscope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevantexperience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must havethe prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.
The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for thisposition is $100-$110K, depending upon and commensurate with thequalifications, education and experience of the selectedcandidate.
