Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach to support a full intercollegiate varsity season. You will help prepare practices, scout opponents, and meet-track; participate in recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes; and contribute to the College’s holistic student-athlete development.
The role requires teaching skills, independent work, and the ability to work evenings and weekends, with a commitment to NCAA Division III and Wheaton policies.
The federal government and the state of Massachusetts have made the decision to end the COVID-19 public health emergency. Wheaton College, an NCAA Division III institution located in Norton, Massachusetts, is looking for a motivated, energetic, passionate and caring individual to assist our baseball program. The Assistant Coach helps prepare the team for a full intercollegiate varsity season, including in-season practices, scouting and meet preparation. Also, this person will play an active role in identifying, evaluating, and recruiting qualified prospective student-athletes. A commitment to teaching and working within an environment that embraces the holistic development of the student-athlete is essential. Additionally, this person will serve in an administrative capacity as directed by the Athletic Administration. It is expected that this individual will complete their job while complying with all NCAA Division III , NEWMAC and Wheaton College rules and regulations.

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.
The anticipated hiring or recruitment range for this position is $35K ( for 10 months, academic year). The actual salary offered will be commensurate with the qualifications, education and experience of the candidate hired.
